Electrical Invention

I worked with Zara and Hayley, we made a cardboard house and made a lighting system.

We started by making the house out of cardboard boxes and making walls and a 2nd floor for it.
Then we started experimenting with the wires trying to find the best way to fit the system in the different rooms. After we made the circuit we taped it to the house and hooked up the switches.

A positive thing about making our invention was we got it done quickly and it worked amazingly because we all worked hard.

A minus thing about making our invention was we didn't really work as a team and we sort of did our own thing because there weren't very many jobs.

A interesting thing about out invention was we had to try different ways of getting the system to work because it wouldn't fit inside the house.

Music - Reflection

I think our group did amazingly, we can play in time with the drums, guitars and singing. Were still working on our piano part and getting it to match the rest of the song but otherwise we are on track to be able to preform at the end of the term. I did my techniques well and I think that it's getting easier to play them in time and at a good sound level.

Music - Chords

Today in music we learnt about chords. We practised on a piano and we did "Common Chord Progression" We learnt how to play a few chords and then we played them back to a partner who had to guess what chord it was. We learnt the difference between major and minor, major is mostly bright and happy but the minor is more dull and dark.
A chord is 2 or more notes played at the same time.
We learnt the chord progressions:
C, F, G
Am, F, G
G, C, D
Em, C, D

My results:

Music - Baroque and Classical Music

Baroque:
Some forms of music identified with Baroque were originated in Italy, including cantata, concerto, sonata, oratorio and opera.

Baroque is a word used to describe Western European art music from the 1600 to 1750.

Classical:
The classical period is between the baroque and romantic periods. This means that music from the classical period is music composed between about 1750 to 1820.

Classical music has a lighter, clearer texture than Baroque music and is less complex.
